Location near to all the major sights, Trastevere, walking distance from main sites, and amazing restaurants and beautiful scenery. Nearby Ombre Rosse - great place to chill out...
Beds were a bit hard.

Very sweet and well located, but, it very badly needs a complete re-furb. Our room was small (adequate), very badly lit and curtains, bedcover etc were flowered polycotton. This theme was continued in the delightful courtyard where there were tables under lovely orange trees...but they have used fake flowers and plants even poking false marigolds into the areas around the trees! The bathroom needed help, a flapping shower curtain around the bath and again, very dim lighting. Very powerful shower tho'.

Ah, the food scene in Trastevere is a feast for the senses! Just steps from Hotel Santa Maria, you'll find gems like Da Augusto and Ombre Rosse serving up delicious Roman dishes. The breakfast at the hotel is no slouch either, with fresh pastries and great cappuccinos to fuel your adventures. Plus, the lovely courtyard is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring!

Wonderful hotel in the very heart of the old city of Rome, the Trasteverre area. Very narrow streets, romantic plaza's, stumbling over great restaurants and bars. Incredibly quiet, even in the middle of Rome. Take a cab directly from the airport. Look on Google's streetview: only a wall of the ancient monestery is to be seen. Don't let that fool you: once inside.... great. Small, simple rooms, clean. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Oscar from The Netherlands

A few things you should know
The charming courtyard filled with fruit trees creates a serene oasis, offering delicious breakfast and friendly staff who go above and beyond! There's a vibrant neighborhood feel, perfect for evening strolls.
Room temperature could be inconsistent, and limited air-conditioning during summer may lead to discomfort. The Wi-Fi signal in certain areas was weak.

English speaking staff; seemed like a family run place; very eager to please guests; excellent breakfast buffet, although only hot item was eggs; local snacks at 5:30 - 7 pm; nut basket and fruit bowl were a very nice touch - the kind of thing I remember my Sicilian grandmother always ahd around; location is fantastic - off a nice, quiet square and a very easy walk to all the sights across the Tiber River. Free bicycle use - although we didn't use them; Very relaxing gathering room - too cold for the outdoor garden lined with orange trees.

The magnificent location was a super close walk to Ponte Sisto. Everything was perfect, however a few employees were quite busy. I stayed here for a trip and would stay there again.

Honestly no reason to complain. Spotless hotel with exceptionally nice employees at the reception desk. Neat, fashionable rooms with queen bed.
